         The young Saiyajin who would come to be known as "Niranegi" was given up at birth to the Imperial Science Bureau along with 19 other infants, ostensibly for the 'good of the Saiyajin Empire'. Subjected to harsh physical training and genetic tampering for most of his young life, he was one of the few who managed to survive long enough to escape Vejitasei along with a couple of "handlers" just prior to it's destruction. It didn't take the group of experiments long, though, to realize that the scientists were not as in charge of them at the emergency outpost they'd been relegated to as they had been on Vejitasei. It is still up for debate as to what, exactly, happened when the Saiyajin Extermination Squads inevitably descended on the outpost... only that Niranegi and the other experimental children managed an escape.
          Years passed, and their numbers dwindled due to various factors. They discovered from the data taken from the scientists years previous, however, that for all of their unlocked powers... they still lacked one important ability. The ability to tap into the power of the legendary Super Saiyajin, referred to as "stage two". Only one of their number had ever been documented as successfully reaching that stage, but he had been exiled off the planet after a run-in with the Imperial authorities...
          With no alternative, a new mission objective was ordered -- to find Sanshou and discover the secret behind finally fulfilling the Project's original parameters.

Artist's Notes: I like to think I'm getting better at the 'folded arms' pose. After watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, I noticed that they were using a different coloring technique for light-colored hair. So I used it for Niranegi and for a SSJ picture of Vejitina that I'm still working on.
          Niranegi also sports an "extra" utility belt, because his designation is a medical officer/technician.
